New Chevy Volt

The new 2013 Chevy volt from G.M.

It operates as an electric car for the first 40 miles after a full charge and then switches over to gas to extend its distance. It draws energy from the lithium ion battery pack. When the battery runs out, the 1.4 liter engine starts to power the generator and sustains the battery charge to give the car 260 more miles of range. The engine doesn’t drive the wheels; it only powers a generator that will give the battery enough charge to go another 300 miles. That only happens when the battery is exhausted.

Overall the Ford Volt is a big step for G.M., Its performance and efficiency for an electric vehicle sets it ahead. They have succeeded in producing and redefining the “green” car category.

www.frenchieschevy.com is proud to announce it's new blogg site. This site will be used to keep you informed about what is happening at Frenchie's Chevrolet Inc (www.frenchieschevy.com). We would like you to share any Ideas or issues that you may have with us freely.

Frenchie's Chevrolet Inc was established in 1982 by Real "Frenchie" Coupal. Since opening, Frenchie and his wife Thelma have been active members of this community in more ways than just business owners. Frenchie is an active member of the Massena Memorial Hospital Board, Rotary International, The Massena Neighborhood Center, Vice President of the Flower Hill Hunting Club, (he doesn't hunt), Director of the Massena Memorial Hospital Foundation, Massena Airport Advisory Board, and a member of two Alcoa Advisory Boards. You will often find him at the dealership with his wife handling the day to day operations of this family owned business. Frenchie is a hands on owner who at times you will find mowing the lawn, to running the payloader removing snow.

"You will become a member of our family."~Frenchie
